Open Seminar on Prevention of Laser Accident in the Workplace and Daily Life

Use of laser products has been becoming more and more popular. Application of laser is no longer confined to industrial application such as cleaning, cutting and welding materials. Laser is now commonly used in our daily lives such as application in laser printers, toys, and entertainment shows. Improper use of laser, especially laser pointer, will cause eye and skin injuries. The risk of accidental exposure to laser can be minimized through legal regulation, application of safety standard, administrative control and preventive measures. In order to increase the awareness of users and the public about laser safety, Occupational Safety and Health Council will hold a seminar on 15 May 2018, at which Mr. Chan Sui Wah, Guest Lecturer of Occupational Safety and Health Council and Recognized Laser Safety Consultant, will introduce the hazards and classification of laser products and the general safety precautions in use of laser in workplace and daily life. You are welcome to attend.

The seminar is considered equivalent to 1.5 CPD units under relevant accreditation services of the Hong Kong Safety and Health Certification Scheme
