Online Open Seminar on Manual Handling Operations and Prevention of Back Injuries

Daily operations in many industries may involve manual handling operation, such as lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling and carrying the load. Incorrect handling postures may cause back strain and injuries, affecting the ability to work and threatening personal safety and health. To enhance the knowledge of employees about manual handling operations and prevention of back injuries, Occupational Safety and Health Council will launch an online seminar on 2 August 2022, at which the occupational health nurse from the Labour Department will address the structure and functions of the back, causes and preventive measures of back injuries, proper manual handling operation and workplace exercise will also be demonstrated. All are welcome.

Applicants must provide ID no. for getting the statement of attendance. Individual email address used for enrolment should be same as the email address used to login your Zoom account. Login and logout time of your Zoom account for the seminar is one of attendance requirements. Confirmation email with online seminar link and details will be sent to successful applicants.
