Import Export and Wholesale Retail Trade involves manual handling such as lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling and carrying the load. Incorrect manual handling with awkward postures may cause back strain and injuries. In addition, high workloads and job demands can impose high levels of stress on employees and affect their mental health well-being.
To enhance the knowledge of employees about prevention of back injuries and mental health, the Import Export & Wholesale Retail Trade Committee of the Occupational Safety and Health Council will hold an online seminar on 22 February 2023, in which the representative from Labour Department will address the causes of back strain and relevant prevention measures. Consultant from the Council will share workplace mental health. Enrolment will be closed on 15 February 2023 (Wednesday). All are welcome.
Target audience: Employees in Import Export and Wholesale Retail Trade and other industries are welcome to attend.
