Online Open Seminar on Exploring the Applications of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) in Occupational Health and Safety

Since the emergence of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools like "ChatGPT" and "DeepSeek" the term GenAI has become a hot topic, bringing revolutionary changes to various industries. GenAI tools can create the information required based on user requests, with formats including text, images, audio, and even video, helping users address different needs in their work.
GenAI tools also have broad potential applications in occupational health and safety. For example, they can be used to create documents necessary for implementing safety management systems, materials for occupational health and safety training and promotion, and even assist in risk assessments and safety inspections. This allows safety personnel to focus more on on-site safety planning and monitoring, further enhancing overall safety management effectiveness and improving work efficiency.
However, an over-reliance on GenAI tools could lead to serious consequences. For example, OHS practitioners might use information generated by GenAI without reviewing or modifying it, potentially overlooking critical safety measures, which could result in severe outcomes. To help the industry better understand GenAI, the Occupational Safety and Health Council will hold an online open seminar on March 25, 2025, inviting industry expert to share practical applications, insights, and important considerations regarding GenAI in the field of occupational health and safety.
Enrolment will be closed on Friday, March 21, 2025. All are welcome.
