Online Open Seminar on Extreme Weather & Prevention of Heat Stroke at Work under Hot Environment

CPD unit under Hong Kong Safety and Health Certification Scheme: 1.5

The intensification of extreme weather is the impact of climate change. The number of hot nights (days with a minimum temperature of 28°C or above) and very hot days (days with a maximum temperature of 33°C or above) as well as the heavy rainfall events have been increasing in recent years. Employers should consider the impact under different weather situations while drawing up the work arrangements for their staff. Those who need to work outdoor or at a hot environment are likely to suffer from heat stroke also. Occupational Safety & Health Council will hold an online seminar on 17 June 2025, at which representative from the Hong Kong Observatory will explain the adverse weather and representative from the Labour Department will address the control measures of preventing heat stroke at work under hot environment.

Enrollment will be closed on 13 June 2025. All are welcome.
