Online Seminar on Safety at Work in Confined Space
CPD unit under Hong Kong Safety and Health Certification Scheme: 2.5
Working in confined spaces (include manholes, shafts, pits, tunnels and pipes, etc.) may expose workers to hazards gas poisoning and hazards from in-rush of mud or water, which pose risk to their occupational safety and health. Occupational Safety and Health Council and Labour Department will hold an online seminar on 23 April 2026 (Thursday). Experts from the Government and industry will analyze accident cases, sharing of good work practices, introduce relevant occupational safety and health legislation (including the Guidance Notes on Prevention of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning in Workplaces) and applications of intelligent robots and drones in confined spaces, aiming to enhance safety awareness among management and frontline staff of the industry.
Enrollment will be closed on 22 April 2026 (Wednesday).
Target audience: Practitioners from the construction and individuals interested in the topic.
Applicants must provide an email address for getting the statement of attendance. The individual email address used for enrolment should be the same as the email address used to login to your Zoom account. Login and logout time of your Zoom account for the seminar is one of attendance requirements. Confirmation email with the online seminar link and details will be sent to successful applicants.
