Online Open Seminar on Heat Stress Assessment and Health Hazards related to Working in Extremely Hot Weather and Environments

CPD unit under Hong Kong Safety and Health Certification Scheme: 1.5

Climate change causes extreme weather to be more frequent. The number of hot nights (days with a minimum temperature of 28°C or above) and very hot days (days with a maximum temperature of 33°C or above) as well as heavy rainfall events have been increasing in recent years. Employers should consider the impact under different weather situations while drawing up the work arrangements for their staff. Those who need to work outdoors or in a hot environment are likely to suffer from heat stroke. Occupational Safety & Health Council will hold an online seminar on 30 June 2026, at which the Occupational Health Nurse and Occupational Safety Officer from the Labour Department will explain the control measures of preventing heat stroke at work under hot environment and outline the related legislative requirements respectively.

Enrolment will be closed on Friday, 26 June 2026. All are welcome.

Applicants must provide email address for getting the statement of attendance. Individual email address used for enrolment should be same as the email address used to login your Zoom account.
