Online seminar on Safe Use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms

*1.25 CPD unit under relevant accreditation services of the Hong Kong Safety and Health Certification Scheme

Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) can assist in working at height, like maintenance, tree pruning, or building exterior cleaning. However, improper use during the process will lead to various potential safety risks, such as operators being trapped between MEWPs and structures, operators/ objects falling from heights, and the platform tipping over, leading to serious consequences.

The Construction Industry Safety and Health Committee and the Property Management, Environmental Hygiene and Recycling Safety and Health Committee under OSHC will co-organise the "Safe Use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms" online seminar. A representative from the Labour Department will explain the precautions to note before and during the operation of MEWPs. A representative from OSHC will introduce training courses related to the topic. Employers and practitioners in the industry are welcome to register and participate.

Target Audience: Construction industry, property management industry, environmental hygiene industry, and individuals who use mobile elevating work platforms at work.
