Typical examples of a confined space include manholes, shafts, pits, tunnels and pipes, etc. Gas poisoning and hazards from in-rush of mud or water are possible dangers in confined spaces, which pose risk to workers’ occupational safety and health. Occupational Safety and Health Council will hold an online seminar on 25 August 2026, at which representatives of Labour Department will explain the occupational safety and health hazards associated with working in confined spaces, their preventive measures as well as relevant occupational safety and health legislation and updated Code of Practices, to enhance workers’ awareness of related issues.
Enrolment will be closed on Friday, 21 August 2026. All are welcome.
