“Fire Safety in the Catering Industry: From Legislation to Fire Emergency Response” Online Seminar

The daily operations of the catering industry involve open-flame cooking and a wide range of electrical equipment. Overlooking fire safety management can result in fires that pose serious threats to the safety of employees and customers. To enhance fire safety awareness and strengthen emergency preparedness within the industry, the Catering and Hospitality Services Safety and Health Committee of the OSHC is going to organise the “Fire Safety in the Catering Industry: From Legislation to Fire Emergency Response” Online Seminar. Representatives from the Labour Department and the Fire Services Department will provide insights into relevant legislation and real-life case analyses, as well as share practical fire emergency response measures and good practices.

The application deadline is 13 October 2026 (Tuesday). All are welcome to enrol.

Target Audience: Practitioners in the catering industry and other interested parties

Applicants must provide an email address to receive the statement of attendance. The individual email address used for enrolment should match the one used to log in to your Zoom account. Your Zoom login and logout times for the seminar form part of the attendance requirements. A confirmation email containing the online seminar link and details will be sent to successful applicants.
